Dr. Keshava Chandra K is a botanist and researcher specializing in Forest Ecology and Angiosperm Taxonomy, with extensive experience studying the biodiversity and ecosystems of the Western Ghats.

He holds a B.Sc. from SDM College, Ujire, an M.Sc. in Applied Botany from Mangalore University, and a Ph.D. in Applied Botany. His doctoral research focused on the ecology and floristics of Myristica swamps and adjoining forests in the Dakshina Kannada region of the Western Ghats.

His research interests include plant taxonomy, ethnobotany, seed germination, biodiversity, and ecology. He has worked on major research projects supported by BRNS, UGC, and DST, and has extensively conducted field research and documentation across the Western Ghats.

Dr. Keshava has contributed to the documentation and conservation of rare, endangered, and threatened plant species and has served on expert committees of the Karnataka Biodiversity Board. He has also undertaken campus flora documentation and contributed to botanical expert committees at leading institutions.
